Claims Handler – Full time November 2017
We are looking for a Claims Handler to join our existing claims team in our South Devon office. You will be part of a friendly team where you will be valued and have the benefit of a lovely working environment within our converted barn. We have a fun atmosphere that creates a good work/life balance yet is focused and professional.
You will ideally need to have some experience within an insurance environment and looking to develop your career for the long term.
Main duties of the role:
Handle claim files from the notification to agreeing the final settlement with the customer.
Helping customers at a time when they need us the most.
Keeping customers informed about their claim.
Liaising with other insurance companies to bring claims to a satisfactory conclusion.
Pro-actively build, develop and maintain close internal and external relationships.
Provide feedback on claims service to the Underwriting Manager.
Other administrative duties to assist the team.
The role will be varied and will be motivating with full training provided. You will be very busy at times so being able to multi-task is essential. You will need to be well presented in a professional, smart manner, have excellent communication and customer skills and be relied upon to carry out tasks efficiently and promptly with a high degree of accuracy. You will need to be confident in using Microsoft office, particularly Excel.
